| ANIMA SCOMPOSTA | Nica Cialdella |
Nica was born on 11 may 1982 in Corato (BA) and currently she lives and works there in her home/laboratory.
Got the degree at the Artistic high school of Corato she has continued his artistic journey like a self-taught artist, searching for a way to express herself and get in the game.
The Nica’s expressive research is expressed by painting and using juxtaposed surfaces, fascinated by the study of psyche and human emotions, that allow her to give life to works strongly introspective.
According to Nica the ART is primarily into the Nature; she says that “Asking what is the Art is like asking what is the life” (cit. prof. Ferraresi): it’s like an alternative skin, a search and an encounter with themselves, a tool which integrates herself, a moment of ‘outburst’ which shifts emotions and stress on the panel.
Nica’s paintings are a whirl of feelings represented with sinuous female figures, color combinations, the chiaroscuro technique and materials: oil and acrylic, clay, chalk, glass, leaves of silver and gold, used all together to render a materiality which can invoke an impulse in the viewer to touch the panel.
Broken soul shows three “faces” of a woman: sensuality, strength and weakness, on a background made by variants of white and red color; the female figure is constructed with the chiaroscuro technique.
Among the materials used in this picture there is the silver leaf, a stylistic sign of the Artist that gives peculiarity and value to the work together with the presence of chalk, used to create rubbing and recall the classical friezes.
