| CAMMINA LEGGERA | Raffaella Del Giudice |
The painting by artist Raffaella Del Giudice is part of a series dedicated to literary characters and involving real people who provide their imagesenriched with fantasy and experience. In this picture the inspiration originates from Tom Sawyer, the legendary boy emerged from the imagination of Mark Twain, inspiration that, in this “portrait”, rises to the free emergence of the artist’s inner world, a dimension that escapes everyday feeling captured in the creative act through a composite and expressivelanguage, the subject of ongoing poeticresearch of this eclectic artist who travels narrativeproposals, nourishing herself : “Courage to choose,” “The wind in the reeds”. The central figure, backgrounds of blue and brown, deep black together witha few deep shadows and graphics, book pages, fragments of memory coexist in this painting. The far-away look, in defense of one’s self, emerges from anuncertainface, open to interpretation. The human proposal, Indeed, waves in a world of weak references: sand, not rock. “Walk softly” in the title suggests the artistdisregarding the betraying world, because of itsno values. Closed lips, suburbs of thoughts surrounding the being, temporariness together interrupted by unresolved reflections and meditations. The character goes through instability oscillating between memories of atrocities -”War is over” -and the desire of lightness - “Free to choose”. In this work, appositions seem to beset the subject:unchaininginvitations, forgotten bulky jars, a hat to protectthe metaphysics of exterior, a glimpse of a chair momentary relaxation, a printed cry, enigmatictransparencies all around. Understandinga painting -living it -is entering it. Let the visitor substituteto the main character and express empathy: Raffaella will complete her message of art.
