SPRING 2 | Christian Steve Scampini

Christian Steve Scampini, born in Milan but his life has never been stopped in one city. From an early age he devoted himself to art in all its forms, such as painting, comics, illustration, video games, film, fashion and photography. His hunger for research and study took him around Italy and Europe, allowing him to increase his knowledge of human and technical, dealing with ever-changing reality. After leaving his first love, comics, it was started to the world of video games where it still operates as DMP / Senior Concept Artist freelance. In Italy he worked for Ubisoft, and Forge Reply Dreamslair. Steve is an intimate and private artist, in fact all his work reflects this combination, presenting timidly before the eyes of the beholder. This is also the spirit that envelops the work “Spring2” which explodes in the heart of the beholder, in small steps. The observer’s eye stops on the subject of the work, her face, only to be accompaniedgradually from right to left. In this short journey you will pass the forms sometimes sharp, like of a butterfly broken wings or the convulsive signs that look like doodles playful, but all cleverly structured, and only once you look at the subject comes again we see how these signs take on you the shape of a flower or a entire butterfly. Everything becomes softer, serene and sweet and the woman’s face is defined as the real protagonist of that dimension. A dimension that lookslike the excursion of the intimate life of the artist. Walking, in fact, through a jagged and undefined passed, before reaching its present clear and gently told. The future in this opera is bright and white, despite a couple of broken wings denote the uncertainty, but the delicate look of her displaces any form of fear, sending serenity and hope, that every spring brings in the human heart. Similarly “Spring2” blossom in the heart of the artist, became for him his own rebirth and spring. The work is part of a triptych in which each section is made during the spring of each year to mark the time of life, going hand in hand with the rhythms of nature. All elements and volitions that contrast with the privileged means of expression by the artist, the computer, with the intention to get out of the “cold” cocoon, to be reborn and fly to new forms.
